Once upon a time, I had a blog. And I would update it more regularly than, um, every 18 months.... oops!
You could say I've been a little lazy in the blogging department.
And, let's be honest, I probably won't update this thing very regularly now. But today I got the urge to sit down and write out something for you pretty people to read, so here I am.
Let me update you! Since my last post (February 2012), Chuck and I ...
...grew our little family of two into a family of three..
Then.
Now.
...gained a sister-in-law...
...moved out of our first place as a married couple...
...and into my Nana's old home...
...celebrated our ONE YEAR anniversary! (no picture here; our week at the beach consisted of 7 straight days of rain)...
...celebrated Chuck's college graduation!...
...followed by his employment at Drayer Physical Therapy...
and enjoyed the holidays of 2012.
So far in 2013, we've celebrated Rosco's 1st birthday...
...vacationed in Las Vegas...
...bought a new vehicle...
...gone to several triathlons, most of which Chuck has placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd this year!...
...and just enjoyed our time with each other, our families, and our friends.
In these last 18 months, we've learned how to remodel a house, including tearing out door frames and replacing them with actual outside doors (and not indoor, hollow ones that just pretend to be real doors). We've learned to paint walls, trim, wood, and a lot more with more to learn because we are, sadly, still not done painting. We've experienced the joy of celebrating the birth and growth of our good friends' baby boy. We've seen good friends get married. We've enjoyed time at home with friends who are stationed across country (and, sadly, had to say goodbye, as well). I've taken on a second job and am getting my feet wet in the teaching field. Chuck is contemplating returning to Physical Therapy school. We are two years into marriage and are still pretty big fans of each other, most days ;)
So, there you have it. Eighteen months of life in the eyes of the Abbeys in 5 minutes.
Who's betting this whole blogging thing lasts this time??
